With the support of the National Media and Telecommunications Authority, the Széchenyi István University Vehicle Industry Research Centre and ZalaZONE are organising a Professional Demonstration Day on 11 December 2023 from 13:30 to increase the social acceptance of 5G communication systems and their applications.
The event will be divided into two main parts. First, a research demonstration will take place on the ZalaZONE test track, where the Vehicle Industry Research Centre will present its activities. Here the special focus will be on the close link between self-driving vehicle control and 5G technologies.
Afterwards, participants will have the opportunity to visit the laboratories of Széchenyi István University at the Zalaegerszeg Automotive Test Track and Innovation Park, where experts from the university will present the latest research results and developments in the field of self-driving aka Autonomous vehicle research and 5G technologies.
The event is targeted at teachers and students of secondary schools in Zalaegerszeg, as well as active students at the Széchenyi István University, some of which are enrolled in the Dual Education program at ZalaZONE Science Park
The development of future autonomous transport applications cannot be achieved without 5G technology. 5G is the only way to ensure that the proper and correct information and data are available for the car at the right time… the time the vehicle needs it!
The event is an exceptional opportunity for all those interested in the latest developments in the field of self-driving vehicles and 5G technologies. We would like to welcome all those who are interested to learn more about Széchenyi István University’s 5G technology research including but not limited to autonomous vehicle development and the potential benefits of these system applications in everyday life.
The National Authority for Media and Telecommunications is the main professional sponsor of the event.
