Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University is focusing on student recruitment efforts for its vehicle industry degree and research programs which has produced good fruit in the form of a  personal donation from Jeff Liu to help promote the international enrollment of Chinese students at the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeff Liu, CEO of Semcorp Advanced Material International, one of the world\u2019s biggest manufacturers of lithium-ion battery separators, a main element of the modern Li-ION battery used in energy storage system\u2019s electronics, automotive, and entertainment device applications. Before his current position, Mr. Liu was the Chairman and CEO of the Fuyao Group North America, which is a leading automotive glass supplier company. The Fuyao business caught the media\u2019s eye of attention after the release of the Oscard winner documentary, \u201cThe American Factory,\u201d which later became a Harvard case study. Jeff Liu made a visit to the Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University to learn more about the institute\u2019s development and cooperation opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit dr. Luk\u00e1cs Eszter, Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University\u2019s Vice-President for International Affairs and Strategic Relations emphasized: the university is present both in and outside of Gy\u0151r, where the institute makes a significant impact in Mosonmagyar\u00f3v\u00e1r, Zalaegerszeg, and Budapest with its multiple programs in education and research that focus on the vehicle industry. She added that today the university\u2019s approximately 14,000 students are coming from 70 different countries. Both QS and Times Higher Education, two of the most significant international higher education ranking organizations have included the institute within their rankings list. The institute has a close and active relationship with economic players, the university has more than 3000 trade and industry cooperative agreements with various companies, amongst them Audi being the most significant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
