Thousands of visitors viewed the high-speed stage, which took place primarily on the Gy\u0151r campus, the most important and spectacular part of the rally race where other special programmes were part of the venue. The winning race team pair became the Hungarian champions, but were additionally awarded a special prize by the university for winning that particular stage of the race that travelled through its campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the multilateral cooperation of the Arrabona Rally Club, TRP Hungary, and Mitko Hungary \u2013 established by the sport lovers of Gy\u0151r association, an old dream came true for citizens of Gy\u0151r between the 8<sup>th<\/sup> and 10<sup>th<\/sup> of September, when Hungarian rallying returned to the city. In more ways than one, as the competitors were greeted by special venues and thousands of enthusiastic fans, the most memorable part of the WHB Gy\u0151r Rally was undoubtedly the downtown speed stage, which took place partially on the campus of the Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/1GoDUKVE4QoExtzlivYVdVeS8dCax7WfIAHoE4RoZqHjttJ8SLlWCXC7I2vTIH0jZ2DLix4mU87O2eoddFMED0a5lHD4u6iP8nH6EvyINsLfYTLb5UmUdeYB3pHBex6tvFjiaH870GRtx-Lr2pIUGQ\" alt=\"A k\u00e9pen sz\u00f6veg, k\u00fclt\u00e9ri, j\u00e1rm\u0171, Sz\u00e1razf\u00f6ldi j\u00e1rm\u0171 l\u00e1that\u00f3\n\nAutomatikusan gener\u00e1lt le\u00edr\u00e1s\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The university offered visitors several exciting family activities. Young and old alike were able to meet student teams, including the multiple world record-holding electric car developer SZEnergy Team, taking part in the global Shell eco-Marathon university team tournament and the European top-ranked Arrabona Racing Team, which competes in Formula Student, also a global competition series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/gyrc-Sas8DKR5ch8hBCgu08KaHCghyLtkKncOivKf_P4ONgYkeKPjbf9xt2OvUL03MSmymfPwNyy9dKqeE73v5oLwxD4hVgDhMPssDdZpkqXjT0Ces6kqAQ8nPWpG4nCeAGdAaBgGY7n_6TfTQERIQ\" alt=\"A k\u00e9pen k\u00f6zleked\u00e9s, k\u00fclt\u00e9ri, j\u00e1rm\u0171, ker\u00e9k l\u00e1that\u00f3\n\nAutomatikusan gener\u00e1lt le\u00edr\u00e1s\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Various family friendly side venues of the rally included the e-sport department of the Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University providing simulator training, the go-karting department offered go-karting, and the local endurance motorcycle world championship legend B\u00e1lint Kov\u00e1cs, a student at the university and member of the Hungarian Motorsport Academy, displaying his speed bike.<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"A k\u00e9pen k\u00fclt\u00e9ri, rali, j\u00e1rm\u0171, Sz\u00e1razf\u00f6ldi j\u00e1rm\u0171 l\u00e1that\u00f3\n\nAutomatikusan gener\u00e1lt le\u00edr\u00e1s\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/j1iumo3ygGOSU-_RREYlQz0NYk-AAoi-pOPEl0qxftYmGx33go_Q37hbw2t5F8NsRf_vc9HiTtxHSiCuvWjj_G08HZcvDBi6I4YyLyFLx1HJF7bLx0Whk3ZkM3wXXe6mufwx_O8jaCp5xriZSOBrNw\" width=\"605\" height=\"403\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Ferenc Szauter, Director of the Institute&#8217;s Automotive Research Centre, said at the pre-event press conference that the event is also a great opportunity for the Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University to showcase its innovative developments. In addition to entertainment, the university&#8217;s Automotive Research Centre and Digital Development Centre also provided career guidance for young people interested in cutting-edge technologies. For example, Quatic Technologies Ltd., a spin-off company of the university, was present and exhibited its products related to the drivability, measurement, and analysis of electric motors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/_cqMKwHvIrp1QMR04vjBytCpGcsTuWKRuSCboQc51NDzKcddi23xSfggh9Bl99-kM9JWJEaHak8F2e19d7bpF3pzBdgu5c8X0CUko7H7TgF9dn7WiYTYhDM9UoF8zE4QVHG6rheJG-LeMasGL06SVA\" alt=\"A k\u00e9pen ruh\u00e1zat, szem\u00e9ly, ember, sz\u00f6veg l\u00e1that\u00f3\n\nAutomatikusan gener\u00e1lt le\u00edr\u00e1s\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the campus of the Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University, thousands of spectators viewed the downtown speed stage of the rally, which returned to Gy\u0151r and was won by the duo of Ferenc Vincze and N\u00e1ndor Percze. The prize for the winners of the race was presented by Prof. Dr. J\u00f3zsef Bokor, Vice President of the University for Research and Innovation and Dr. Ferenc Szauter.
