Széchenyi István University – Vehicle Industry Research Center’s online conference, ”Sustainable Technology application research in vehicle development & manufacturing” was a complete success!

The conference was held this month June 14th and 16th by the Széchenyi István University’s Vehicle Insdustry Research Center. During the conference, the professional results of two ”Thematic Excellence Programme” sections was showcased. The Digital Industrial Technology research project at Széchenyi István University (TKP2021-NKTA-48) has its main research focuses on autonomous vehicle singular and cooperative controll systems as well as self-driving vehicle validation methodology and subsequent technologies development. Széchenyi István University’s military systems project regarding resilience (TKP2021-NVA-23) has its main focuses on the durablity testing of both autonomous – unmanned ground vehicles and integrated electrical propulsion systems.

The three-day long event was held in an online format. Prof. Dr. Bokor József, the president of the Vehicle Industry Research Center and ELKH’s vice president, was the conference’s chief patron along with Dr. Szauter Ferenc, the Vehicle Industry Research Center’s director and conference host.

The event started on Wednesday with an inaugural speach by Dr. Szauter Ferenc, and afterwards guests attended the lecture on Society’s acceptance of autonomous vehicles and the precipitative socialization possibilities for the technology held by both Dr. Eisingerné dr. Balassa Boglárka and Dr. Titrik Ádám, who cojointly lead the conference section. On this opening day the following research colleagues have also presented: Somogyi Huba, Gulyás Péter, Für Balázs, Kecskeméti István, Tóth Gábor, Basa András, Lubinszki Zsombor, Krecht Rudolf and Krecz Dávid.

The conference’s 2nd day, focused on the assessments of autonomous technology solutions and electric powertrain impact on industry, where the professional research achievements attained at Széchenyi István University were presentated by Dr. Polák József and Dr. Pup Dániel, the co-leaders of the conference section. Also that day included several interesting lectures held by the following research colleagues: Csikor Dániel, Saly Gábor, Peszleg Richárd, Dr. Speiser Ferenc Péter, Dr. Polák József, Sütheö Gergő, Unger Miklós and Dr. Horváth Ernő. It would also be important to highlight the jointly presented research results of Istenes György and Dr. Horváth Krisztián as well as Ignéczi Gergő and Dobay Tamás.

The last and closing day of the conference focused on the topic of sustainable technologies and an examination of their feasibilty in the present day economy, which was held by Dr. Tóth Árpád and Suta Alex, this section’s conference co-leaders.
