Function of the Center
The research and development activities of the e-Mobility Centre focus on the modelling, simulation and implementation of electric drive systems for control and fault diagnosis, as well as on predictive maintenance based on artificial intelligence. Power electronics and embedded control technology and their HIL/SIL simulation and validation test environment are given a high priority in the activities of the centre. The centre addresses the high degree of non-linearities inherent in these systems through state-of-the-art control, processing and artificial intelligence approaches. Research covers the communication and hierarchical control aspects of the drive system in line with the higher control functions of fully autonomous vehicles. Research and development activities are supported by a high-performance electric brake bench environment for testing electric drive systems.
