Minister of Justice Bence Tuzson states, “Széchenyi University’s  new Innovation Park will benefit the whole region of Győr. “

The Minister of Justice Dr. Bence Tuzson Bence gave a lecture to students during an event held at Győr’s Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) on 22 November at the invitation of Dr. Dávid Fekete, Head of Representation and Associate Professor at Széchenyi István University. After the programme, the Justice visited the recently inaugurated Innovation Park of Széchenyi University in Győr, where he had a discussion with Dr. Bálint Filep, President of the University, together with the staff of the institution on the role of the new facility. The Innovation park is located in the newly renovated emblematic cube building of the former Győr Biscuit and Wafer Factory.

During the meeting, Dr Bence Tuzson stressed that the regional development impact of the Innovation Park is extremely significant.

“On the one hand, it contributes to the further development of the Győr Sziget, which a few years ago was one of the most underdeveloped parts of the city and county. On the other hand, the arrival of international and domestic companies working in cutting-edge technologies represents a huge opportunity for both the university and Győr. This will not only help to raise the quality of the institution’s training and its academic performance, but also trigger new developments in the city.” – the Minister of Justice stressed.

The Győr Innovation Park of Széchenyi István University will also contribute to the development of the region, the minister said at the meeting.
