The drive for innovation and the passion for future technologies will meet at the Zalaegerszeg Automotive Test Track during the Professional Demonstration Day to be held on 5 December 2023 from 13:00. The event is being supported by the National Media and Info-communications Authority in cooperation with the Vehicle Industry Research Centre (JKK) of the Széchenyi István University and ZalaZONE. This event will provide a unique opportunity for participants to get a closer look at the relationship between self-driving vehicles and the connected world of 5G technologies.
The event will focus on the capabilities of ZalaZONE, where visitors will be able to get an insight into the process of developing self-driving vehicles and testing them on the 5G network through a research demonstration.
During the demonstration made by the Vehicle Industry Research Centre (JKK) participants will be able to get a glimpse into the huge potential of 5G mobile network capabilities and witness the Vehicle Industry Research Centre’s development team remotely driving an experimental autonomous vehicle on the ZalaZONE track from their laboratory on the campus of Széchenyi István University back in Győr. Naturally, the experimental vehicle while driving around the proving ground module under test will be supervised by a in vehicle safety driver.
This event is also linked as one of the year’s final events of the “Road to Higher Education” career guidance programme, where the target group of the demonstration will be secondary students participating in the programme, secondary school teachers, and active students of Széchenyi István University.
As part of the career guidance programme, an additional aim of the Professional Demonstration Day is to inspire young people to take an interest in technology and the automotive industry in general, while showcasing the exciting contemporary state and future opportunities of 5G technology and self-driving vehicles.
All those who want to witness the exceptional capabilities that 5G technology has to bring to the future of transportation and mobility systems are cordially invited to the event.
The National Media and Info-communications Authority is a key technical partner of the event.
