The Competition Kart Talent Day, jointly organised by Willisits Motorsport and the Széchenyi István University Sports Association, was held at the E-kart Ring gokart track in Győrújbarát.
In cooperation between Willisits Motorsport and the Széchenyi István University’s Vehicle Industry Research Centre, a go-kart talent contest for children ages 5-16 took place on the 25th of October 2023. The participants could test their skills and knowledge in three event categories: rules of racing familiarity, physical endurance, and kart driving.
The children competed in 4 age groups: e-Bambini (5-9 year olds), Easy60 (8-12 year olds) and Easy100 (11-16 year olds). The event, which was held at the first electric go kart track in Hungary, opened in 2013 by Willisits Engineering Ltd., was received with great enthusiasm by all the participants and their families. Those children who accumulate the highest number of points per category during the events will be eligible to participate in the MNASZ Hungarian Go-kart Grand Prix in Kecskemét, Hungary, in November on the 3rd to 5th of the month.
The e-Bambini category of the three-day competition will be held using the smallest type of electric-powered karts will be undertaken with the cooperation of the SZE Motorsport association. Thanks to the support of HUMDA, the Hungarian Mobility Development Agency and a member of the Széchenyi University Group, children aged 8-14 will be able to experience the sport for themselves, which in turn will be a symbiosis of motor sport and environmentally friendly electric transport, during the 1st HUMDA Go-kart Slalom Talent Show, thus promoting go-karting and creating a chance to discover the young talents of the future generation.
